Mapping just got a new direction
OAG Connections Analyser v1.4
Hi, I’m Suzy Ward, Product Manager for OAG’s Analyser Suite. I spend my time working with our customers, sales teams and development resource to look at how we can continually improve our products, add new features and really drive analysis.
Over the past few months I have been working on exciting new features in Connections Analyser. Before moving to OAG I was at bmi, managing capacity of their existing network and future five year plans and I am now delighted to be part of the team that helped bring this to life.
Connections Analyser is the only product on the market that can dynamically build all possible global flight connections as they occur in real time. This is pretty cool in itself but now you can visualise this with our new mapping functionality by highlighting connections, hubs and plotting routes that can be exported for your presentations and reports. At bmi connections were a massive consideration when network planning. bmi’s network mainly consisted of flights to Europe, the Middle East and Africa so connections to/from the US were important. Being able to visualise connections in this way could have really helped with planning the network and connections.
Understanding connectivity is vital for understanding the value of a network and assessing competitiveness. In Connections Analyser you can model the impact of real and ‘what if’ schedule changes on route and network connectivity faster than ever. The use of our MCT (minimum connection time) exception tables and ability to add phantom flights gives the most accurate connection analysis available to support air service development.
Connections Analyser:
- Schedules 1 year forward as standard
- Only product to use real connection times (OAG MCT)
- Editable MCT times
- Integrated mapping
- Editable QSI values
- Phantom flights
- ‘What If’ analysis
- Exportable results to CSV, PDF, XLS and XLSX
